Unknowing Bride
Copyright 2002 by Jon Gill
Blushing beauty, sparkling eyes
A guarded heart that seeks the wise
Preparation comes so fast
After a spotted and wrinkled past
For so long I've watched you grow
As your heart has wavered to and fro
You know not the face of your bridegroom
You know not the place of the throneroom
I have waited for you to hear my voice
I have waited for you to make your choice
My love only grows as I woo you now
My pain only grows because you don't know
My Father has prepared us a mansion
On the top of the Holy Mountain
But the rooms there still remain vacant
Until you see my hand and will take it
My blushing beauty, with sparkling eyes
Let me show you who teaches the wise
No spot or wrinkle, you will be my pride
Until then you are my Unknowing Bride.
